Now this one is obscure. Hurdy Gurdy emerged from the Danish group Peter Belli and the Boom Boom Brothers (aka the BB Brothers) in 1967. Before they went psychedelic they recorded two or three lovely melodic pop songs which anticipated the Big Star sound, preserved on the album The Early Years. Here’s the first.
