The Supremes: I Hear a Symphony

Square

Written by Holland-Dozier-Holland and released in 1965, this was the Supremes’ sixth No 1 in the US, though it got no higher than No 39 in Britain.

Here is a live performance from 1965.

This is from 1968, when they had become Diana Ross and the Supremes, and a bit of a parody of themselves.

I don’t think it has ever been recorded by anyone else, which I find strange because it’s a good tune.
