Another short season of selections from our friend Matt is long overdue. This time his theme is country songs about country music. He says:
‘Nashville’s probably more obsessed with its own mythology than rock music and rarely misses an opportunity to reference songs or singers from its past.

‘Junior Brown, the slide-guitar wizard from Cottonwood, Arizona, recorded this tribute to the late ET in 1990. He manages to sing it as flat as the man himself.’
