Wonderful starry-smooth sounds from the optimistic American 1950s. I prefer the Chordettes version too, and it’s nice to see glamorous women without the uglifying tattoos or plastic surgery which they all seem to require nowadays.
I don’t think the Chordettes would’ve got very far with Liberace, whom they mention in the song.
“Lollipop” is the only other Chordettes song I know. On this clip, the Chordette on the left looks like Betty Turpin (Betty Driver). I think it’s Andy Williams doing the pops:
