Marie Knight was a gospel singer who began recording secular R&B music in the late 1950s. She released Come Tomorrow, written by Bob Elgin, Dolores Phillips and Frank Augustus, in 1961, but I am pretty sure it did not make the charts.
The song was later recorded by Manfred Mann, featuring vocalist Paul Jones, and reached No 4 in Britain in early 1965.
