Beethoven: Piano Concerto No 3 in C minor, Op 37

Square

The first time I heard the second movement of this concerto I could not believe how beautiful it was. I still feel the same.

Beethoven wrote it in 1800, when he was 30 and starting to go deaf. He was the soloist at the premiere in 1803.

In this performance Daniel Barenboim is soloist and conductor, with theStaatskapelle Berlin.
