The Springfields were brother and sister Dion and Mary O’Brien, who named themselves Tom and Dusty Springfield, and Mike Hurst. This song, written by Tom Springfield, reached No 5 in the UK chart in early 1963. At the end of the year Dusty decided to branch out on her own and the group disbanded.
