Sun Glasses

Square

THIS brilliant track was written by John D Loudermilk (1934-2016), who also wrote Ebony Eyes for the Everly Brothers among many other hits. There are three great versions and I can’t choose which I like best.

The first was by Skeeter Davis in 1965. It reached 30 in the Billboard country chart and 120 in the main US chart.

Sandy Posey did it on 1967 on her I Take it Back album.

IN 1984 Tracey Ullman released a Spector-flavoured version which peaked at 18 in the UK chart.

There are two great videos of this.
