Rod Stewart: (I Know I’m) Losing You

Square

From his third solo album Every Picture Tells a Story, released in 1971. The best track by far although they are all great. The album reached No 1 in both the US and UK charts.

Stewart was still the singer with the Faces and all the band members played on this track, but they could not be credited because of contractual restrictions. The Kenney Jones drum solo is outstanding.

(I Know I’m) Losing You was a US hit in 1966 for the Motown group The Temptations.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LWr_F4Gg8sY Their original sounds tame compared with Stewart’s full-blooded version.
