This was written in 1968 by group member Howard Kaylan but by agreement it was credited to all five members: Kaylan, Mark Volman, Al Nichol, Jim Pons and John Barbata.
Kaylan later said that it was written as a joke because their record company wanted more songs like their 1967 big hit Happy Together, while the group wanted to diversify.
It got to No 6 in America and No 7 in Britain.
