I AM assuming everyone knows Love me Tender which Elvis recorded in 1956, but I think Amen Corner’s is an excellent version. The seven-man band formed in Cardiff in 1966 with the great Andy Fairweather Low as lead vocalist. Their career lasted only three years before they split up in 1969, Andy and several other players forming a new band, Fair Weather.
This track is on their first album, Round Amen Corner, recorded in 1968. It was not issued as a single.
