This was written by Arthur Crudup, who released it as a single in 1950.
The King recorded it as the B-side of his 1956 single I Want You, I Need You, I Love You which reached No 3 in America.
Dave Berry and the Cruisers took it to No 37 in Britain in 1964.
John Lennon did a really terrible version in 1973 which was released posthumously on the 1986 album Menlove Ave.
The under-rated Dave Edmunds recorded for his 1977 album Get It.
Unfortunately, it was also recorded by Slade in 1977 so I suppose I am forced to include it here, but I recommend that you spare yourself the agony. Enough morons bought it to get it to No 32 in the UK.
