Written by Gerry Goffin, Carole King and Phil Spector, this was the follow-up to the Righteous Brothers’ first hit, You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’. Although to my ear it is an inferior copy of its predecessor, it got to No 9 in America in 1965. It did nothing in Britain.
The Beach Boys did it for their 1976 album 15 Big Ones. I much prefer this simpler production.
