This is a prototype Wall of Sound recording. It was written by Barry Mann and Larry Kolber and released in 1961 by the Paris Sisters (who actually were sisters). It reached No 5 in the States and was ranked at 100 on Billboard’s 100 Greatest Girl Group Songs of All Time.
In Britain it was overshadowed by Jimmy Crawford whose more mundane version reached No 18.
