This was written by Eddy and producer Lee Hazlewood. It followed his earlier hits including Rebel Rouser and Forty Miles of Bad Road, but was a bit of a flop in the US, making it only to No 45. It did much better in Britain with a peak of No 4. This is the record:

The Shadows recorded it in 1963 as the B-side of Geronimo, which reached No 10 in Britain. As far as I can see they dropped the exclamation mark.
