This was written by Phil Spector, Ellie Greenwich and Tony Powers and first recorded in 1962 by Bob B Soxx and the Blue Jeans, with Spector producing. It reached No 38 in the States in 1963.
The lead singer was Darlene Love and it now appears under her name as well. It is exactly the same.
In 1980 Showaddywaddy took it to No 22 in Britain. The track is so awful I wasn’t going to use it but perhaps you ought to experience it.
