This was written by Phil Spector, Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil and went to No 23 in America in 1964, the last top 40 hit for the Ronettes. It did not reach the charts in the UK. It was produced by Spector and the thunder sound effects earned audio engineer Larry Levine a Grammy for ‘Best Recorded Song – Special or Novel Effects’. In 2010, it was ranked at No 269 on the updated Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.
